Habitat for Humanity-North Central Georgia recently held a “first nail ceremony” marking the beginning of a home build in Canton. Habitat staff, volunteers, sponsors and family members gathered around Jada Parks, the homebuyer, for the ceremony. Parks first learned about Habitat for Humanity from her cousin, a Habitat homebuyer herself.
“I thank God for everybody who brought this program to my attention because I have been trying for a while to secure a stable environment for my family,” she said. “I really appreciate all the support.
