Chief Executive Officer/Executive Director:
Habitat for Humanity-North Central Georgia, Inc., an independent affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, is an ecumenical Christian affordable housing ministry located in Roswell, Georgia. The position is full-time; the salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Key responsibilities and duties include:
Scope: Overall responsibility for operational management of the organization, including administration, finance, resource development (funding and marketing), family services, land acquisition and development, construction, and the home repair program. The affiliate has net assets of $7.05M and has averaged annual revenue of $3.6M over the past five years. We serve the north Fulton area and Cherokee, Forsyth, and Dawson, Counties.
Board Relations and Communications: Report to the Board of Directors regarding the operations of the affiliate, particularly with respect to strategic planning, financial matters, adoption of ministry policies, land holdings, and selection of partner families. Plan monthly Board meetings and the Annual Meeting of Directors; prepare appropriate reports. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory matters.
Financial: In conjunction with the Finance Manager, manage financial issues and reporting, particularly monitoring cash flow. Prepare annual budget; review Finance Manager’s monthly financial reports; and prepare ancillary financial and statistical reports for the Board and staff. Coordinate with the Finance Manager regarding mortgage servicing issues. Manage bank relationships and long- and short-term debt.
Resource Development: In conjunction with the Resource Development staff, prepare and implement annual development plan, annual marketing and communications plan, donor solicitation and cultivation plans, build schedules, and funding plan. Direct and monitor fundraising efforts.
Family Services: Manage the family selection process and submit selection recommendations to the Board. Manage the closing process for home sales, coordinating with appraisers, closing attorneys, and internal staff; prepare closing schedules and related documents.
Land Acquisition: Supervise and direct the Site Acquisition Manager and Director of Land Development in connection with land purchases and development. Review and approve purchase agreements, amendments, and related documents. Secure Board approval of land purchases.
Construction: Oversee new home construction and home repair functions throughout our four-county service area. Develop annual build schedule. Ensure compliance with safety and licensing requirements.
Administration: Responsible for corporate organization issues, personnel and staffing, compensation, benefits, insurance; and Habitat International reporting.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; strong management, financial, communication and interpersonal skills; detail-oriented; team-player; proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and CRM and donor data base software; comfortable in a faith-based environment; and a passion for Habitat’s mission. A real estate background is a major plus.
